I wasn't really sure what category to use - but Events seemed somewhat related?
I recently launched Fantasy Enduro www.fantasyenduro.com an online fantasy game following the Enduro World Series. If you follow the EWS then I reckon you'll probably enjoy playing Fantasy Enduro.
Its, free and easy to play. Theres no salary caps, reserves benches or trading windows - I've dumped all the "football fantasy" stuff and kept it more related to MTBing.
Round 1 is this week and the first lockout is Saturday Evening.
After a late rush toward the entry system last week, we are happy to confirm the The Mont 24 Hour MTB Race is on for 2017. We have however decided that this will be the final Mont 24.
We want to see this iconic event out in fine style and in fine company (Yours). Join us! If you missed cut-off for entries, you are able to enter for one more week.

Whilst we all have various ways of keeping in touch and communicating these days, this site stills holds great community value and it is (even those on the other 'sister' sites) a relatively small group of web-based friends.
This year, there are a few Nobmobbers (and maybe some others I don't know about) heading over to Cape Town to race the Cape Epic.
Wayne (Dicko on here) Dickinson is teaming up with Mike(Blades) Faretta under the SXC / EXC banner. THey have been training the house down so will go well I am sure.
Apparently the event is still short of entrants. Get three mates and join up today.
Have to admit, the cancellation of the Ginga Ninja would have to be the most pathetic I have encountered in 17 years of racing MTB.
There would not be a race of any type, shape or form west of the dividing range and north of Sydney for the whole summer.
I think we need to take responsibility for ourselves in all our personal endeavours.
All competitors sign our life away before we race and if you don't like a little heat, then don't race.
We are already in 2017 and I don't have a plan!
I'm looking for some interesting events during the year, something new. Been doing MTB events since 2007 and it feels like I've starting to repeat myself so I'm looking for something new or different to look forward to and to motivate a bit of training.
What is the rest of the MTB community up to event or racing wise? any new trends or formats emerging?
Wondering what this Pioneer(http://www.thepioneer.co.nz/) stage race event is all about, or want to convince a mate to enter? Come along to one of our Athlete Information Evenings in Sydney or Melbourne and ask all your burning questions.
Race Director Bec Williams and some of our 2016 athletes will be there to offer advice and answer questions. We’ll cover bike gearing, training tips, and provide a rundown of the overall experience. Basically we’ll get you fired up to want to be part of this in epic event!
Light refreshments served.
Went down to CBR and did the Scott 24 - just socially. The numbers were down.
My first ever race was Scott 24hr back in 2007 and the size of the event back then was massive. This year it was tiny with most riders appeared to be doing 6 + 6 because the night laps were very lonely.
From 2007 onwards we did Scott 24 every year for a while but have not done it in two or three years so it was quite unexpected to find it so small.
There's been a few mtb races postponed of late due to weather, the track at Rydal is in perfect condition, you can still enter online or on the day get there early if entering on the day,all online entries go into draw for a trip for 2 to New Zealand drawn at the end of the year go http://ctmbc.net/node/53057 for details
Looking at the nobmob event calendar it looks like I could have been the sole NobMobber at the event so I thought I share a short summary for those who considered it or is considering it for next year.
The race was a 6hr lap race with the usual bunch of categories. Organised by the local club calling themselves tipriders:
This was the first year they organised it but they did so super professionally. Everything worked brilliantly.
It's one hell of a ride !!...Sunday 18th Sept at Coolah with 30-60-90k options.
Over 90% of exhilarating singletrack which can be ridden one day of the year only.
Entries are limited, so don't miss out.
For information click onto link below or google Coolah Bikeworx.
Is anyone heading down for the 2nd round of the Evocities series in Albury?
I will heading down with a mate on Saturday, we are going to find a campsite close to Albury for Saturday night then drive home via Canberra sunday/Monday.
Happy for others to join us camping and at the race.
This weekend's Tathra MTB Enduro has been postponed due to torrential rain and local flooding.
The event has been rescheduled to August 27/28, 2016.
An intense low pressure system along the NSW Coast has dumped over 300 mls of rain on Tathra during the past four days, resulting in widespread flooding. Gale force winds have also felled hundreds of trees.
Another low pressure system is forecast to bring further rain to the area on Thursday and Friday this week.
I was 4th in masters general classification at the beginning of the day. My aim was to make the most of my local knowledge in Awaba MTB park where I ride & race regularly to get on the masters podium for the day & into the top 3 on GC.
I came out of Awaba in a group with 1st & 3rd in my category & had opened a gap to 2nd & 5th, 6th etc. Before turning the corner at the end of the first long straight of the climb I glanced back & could not see any riders or groups in pursuit, only one or two who had dropped off our group.
Heading to Wollombi this weekend... Does anyone know if the Wollombi Wild Ride 60km route passes through any private property?
Anyone got a Strava link by any chance?
I'm just back from a weekend at the Otway300 - it was such an incredible event.
Its a long race for sure, and a bit of a journey to get to Forrest, Vic to compete, but my word, it was worth every second.
8 mates caught the same flight, booked a couple of cars, and hired a big house together - for what really was an ultimate 'boys riding' weekend away.
The racing was great - for sure - but the whole vibe and nature of the weekend really stood out. If you even slightly fancy yourself as an endurance based rider, put it on your calendar for next year. Its a bucket list race...
Had a good time at the Mont, I'm shattered now.
Thanks to Pancakes for getting the team together, cooking pancakes, looking after the running sheet and all the other stuff you did to make things run smoothly.
To the rest of the team, thanks for making the event a whole lot of fun, it's not something I thought I'd ever do let alone enjoy.
@Hawkeye, thanks for your text msg yesterday.
I am going to do the convict 68KM, I did ride the last Convict 50km and the last Husky 50km.
Anyone who rode the 68km last year or other convict events I am interested in your thoughts and experience on the event.
1) They say that the 68km has single track in it, how technical is this single track and what pecentage is the single track too fire trail?
2) Does the 68km have the down hill section of the old 50km with the hazadous gutters in it?
3) Any hints on the canoe as I am keen on riding it.
